The living water of life in heaven is resurrection life

The living water of life in heaven is resurrection life   John 4:9-14  『 Then saith the woman of Samaria to him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, asks drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said to her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that said to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman said to him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank of it himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said to her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 』 Even the Samaritan woman, t...

Good Shepherd

Good Shepherd   John 10:1-5  『 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 』 In John 9, Jesus said that the Pharisees were blind who could not see the kingdom of God. They were the ones who knew and practiced God's law better than anyone else, but in fact, they were spiritually blind. They were caught up in the "false pretext of keeping the Sabbath," and missed the true spirit of the Sabbath, which is God's love and mercy. Therefore, their law-keeping was not a tool of...

Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.   John 3:3-5  『 Jesus answered and said to him, 'Very truly I tell you, unless one is born again ( γεννηθ ῇ ), he cannot see the kingdom of God.' Nicodemus said to him, 'How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?' Jesus answered, 'Very truly I tell you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. The Greek word for 'born again' is gennedeh ( γεννηθ ῇ , basic form gennao), which means to give birth, to be born, to give birth to a baby. Since Jesus spoke as if one must be born again, Nicodemus misunderstood that he must be born physically again, and was talking about a second womb. However, Jesus rebuked Nicodemus, saying that a so-called rabbi does not know the reason. In the Old Testament, when people committed a sin, they brought a sacrificial offering, transferred their sins, kil...

How he saw the Lord on the road

How he saw the Lord on the road   Acts 9:26-27 『 When Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples; but they were all afraid of him and did not believe that he was a disciple. So Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles and told them how he had seen the Lord on the road and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how at Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus. 』 Through Barnabas ’ assurance of Saul, Saul ’ s testimony of starting a new life, and his changed life, the church found stability. The churches in all of Judea, Galilee, and Samaria were firmly established. Now, the threat of death began to follow the changed Saul. The fact is that behind the firm establishment and revival of the church, Saul ’ s life, which was threatened with death, was presupposed. Behind the scenes of the church of God standing firmly on the outside, there were sacrifices and efforts of people like Paul who were changed and testified while risking the threat ...

A prophet will you raise up for yourself from among your brothers, like me.

A prophet will you raise up for yourself from among your brothers, like me.   Acts 3:22-26 For Moses said, "The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet from among your brothers, like me; to him you will listen to everything he says. Anyone who does not listen to that prophet will be destroyed from his people." And all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel onward and on, have spoken of these days: You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, 'In your offspring all the families of the earth shall be blessed.' God raised up his servant (ton-pa-da) and sent him to you first to bless you, in order that you should turn every one of you from his iniquities." Moses served as a mediator between God and the people. The people spoke and acted through Moses. However, in the future, a prophet like Moses (Jesus Christ) will come, and people will listen directly to him (ho logos). God will resurrect with Je...

The meaning of resurrection

The meaning of resurrection   If a country applies a certain system, gives up on it, introduces another system, and even that is not good, and reapplies the previous system, people say that the system has been revived. Revival means returning to the previous state. This is the meaning in our word resurrection. It is not perfect, but it can convey the meaning of resurrection to a considerable extent. A person is born, lives, and dies. If we apply the above words, the previous does not mean the time when one was alive in the world, but the state before one was born. Before being born in the flesh, it means the state of the spirit, an angel. Before, one was an angelic spirit, but after committing a crime against God, one became a human being in the flesh. However, if one were to return to the past, one would return to being an angel in the kingdom of God. The spirit was imprisoned in the body, so we became human, but we were born as spiritual sinners who could not know ...
